Holistic Training Courses provide fully accredited intensive courses in Massage, Holistics, Beauty, Healing and Hairdressing. We specialise in small group training ensuring that students are given high levels of individual attention and personal tuition. Our short intensive courses are for both absolute beginners and qualified therapists and are the perfect solution for people who do not have the time to attend lengthy courses or follow rigid timetables. FAQ's

Is the Holistic Training Courses diploma enough to get a job? 

Many owners of beauty salons, nail bars and spas are aware of our excellent reputation and are happy to employ therapists holding our diploma. Every year hundreds of spa's/ salons send their therapists to us for training.

 

Can I get Insurance after the course?

Holistic Courses

Our Holistic courses are recognised by all the leading industry associations such as Babtac, Complementary Medical Association (CMA) and the Guild. This enables you to arrange inexpensive insurance via these bodies or your existing insurance company.

Beauty Courses

You will have the opportunity to join the industries associations that provide newsletters, insurance and other benefits to members. This course is accredited and recognised by Babtac, Guild of Professional Beauty and Holistic Therapists (The Guild).

 

Are the course lecturers fully qualified?

Our lecturers hold teaching qualifications and have professional qualifications in all the subject areas that they teach.

 

How much is the course deposit and when is the balance due?

Course deposits vary for each course, please visit your chosen course page where you can pay your deposit which is required to secure a place on one our courses. The remaining balance is due 14 days before commencement of the course.

What happens if I fail an assessment - do I have to pay again? 

No - retakes are completely free of charge.

Please note: Should you need to attend a training course for a third time then fees are payable in full again.

 

Why are the courses so much shorter than at colleges of further education?

  • Fast-track training with small groups of student's who really want to learn, enables a more effective and speedier learning process.

 

  • We cover the essential theory for safety & hygiene reasons, but most of the training is practical with full training manuals and Anatomy and Physiology provided to enhance your learning.

  • It is recommended that at home you undertake further study by reading your manual and/or recommended text books which you would otherwise do during your college time.

 

Will I get plenty of practice on the course?

Yes you will work on your co students and if necessary based on numbers booked to attend the training day a model can be brought along or we can usually arrange for a model for you to work on. You will also be expected to experience treatments from fellow students.

 

What time do the courses start and finish?

Registration is 15 minutes before the start of the course. Times are approximate and we cannot be held responsible for any missed travel arrangements due to a class finishing slightly later than 4.30 or 5.00pm

 

What should I wear to the course?

We do not insist that you wear a uniform, Clothing should be comfortable with short sleeves or sleeves that can be rolled up and a cardigan is useful.

Jewellery (except wedding rings) must be removed, so for safekeeping we recommend that you leave most jewellery at home.

Hair must be secured away from the face. If working over the face, please remove make up before the training course starts. Nails should be short, without varnish or extensions.

If you are due to attend any of the following courses: Eyelash Tinting/perming/ Eyelash Extensions/Semi Permanent Mascara or Fast Lashes training courses, please arrive without any eye make up on and without eyelash extensions in place. (You should ideally have these removed if in place or arrange for a model to attend the course with you, so that other students can work) Please also advise immediately if you have had and eye infection recently or Laser Eye surgery within the last three months or are due to have Laser Eye Surgery.

 

What happens if I have to cancel or postpone my course? 

Deposits and course payments are non refundable and non transferable. Failure to attend a confirmed course will result in the loss of all payments made for that course.

 

I live a long way from the college - where will I stay?

Please let us know in advance and we can send you a list detailing local accommodation. It has information on Bed and Breakfasts, Guest Houses and hotels within 5 - 25 minutes walking distance.

 

I have special needs. Will I be able to take the course? 

Please contact us prior to your course to discuss your needs and we will do our utmost to help you gain your qualifications.

 

English is not my first language. Will I be able to take the course? 

If English is not your first language and you feel that you may have difficulties understanding parts of the course, please discuss this with us prior to the course so that we can help to make it as beneficial as possible for you.
